Dr, Felipe Lobelo is an Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) Officer at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)/National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion for the Division of Nutrition and Physical Activity (CDC/WHO Collaborating Center for Physical Activity and Health). Dr. Lobelo holds a PhD in Exercise Science – Health Aspects of Physical Activity from the University of South Carolina, Arnold School of Public Health, Department of Exercise Science, Columbia, SC. He is also a Medical Doctor and a specialist in Epidemiology from the Medical School of Universidad del Rosario, Bogota, Colombia. Dr. Lobelo is involved in several projects at the national and international level and has published several papers in the area of cardiovascular disease, physical activity and obesity.
